ActiveX does not have such functionality but you can get scanned image as HBITMAP and draw necessary text using GDI.

I am testing using a HP Photosmart 7510. On one system, it works correctly on another system, the device will not open. So I guess that this scanner (all-in-one) only kind of works.

Please compare TWAIN driver of scanner on "good" and "bad" systems.
