VintaSoftTwain ActiveX in laptop with integrated webcam

Post by arranc » Wed Jan 06, 2010 8:14 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to test VintaSoftTwain ActiveX in my laptop (Dell Latitude E6400) with integrated webcam (from Creative Labs) but I'm getting an error (I'm using the javascrip example).

When I click "Get an image with device dialog" or "Get an image without a device dialog" buttons it launches a popup with no sources (to be selected).

In the directory "C:\Windows\twain_32" there is only a file "wiatwain.ds".

Can you give me some help on this ?

In the twain.log I get the following messages:

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTwunk ::AppInitialize - Reset Log

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTwunk ::OpenServer - Starting Thunker

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTwunk ::CloseServer - Why Can't We Find The Thunker Window?

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - DSM --DsmEntryDiagExit (RC = 0, CC = 0)

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTWTRACE--VintaSoftTwain(38) to NULL:

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTWTRACE--CONTROL, IDENTITY, GETDEFAULT

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - DSM --DsmEntryDiagExit (RC = 1, CC = 3)

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTWTRACE--VintaSoftTwain(38) to NULL:

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTWTRACE--CONTROL, IDENTITY, USERSELECT

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - DSM --DsmEntryDiagExit (RC = 3, CC = 0)

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTWTRACE--VintaSoftTwain(38) to NULL:

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - CTWTRACE--CONTROL, PARENT, CLOSEDSM

TWAIN_32.DLL - MESSAGE - DSM --DsmEntryDiagExit (RC = 0, CC = FFFF)

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Ana

Hello Ana,

You have no sources - this means that you do not have TWAIN or WIA drivers installed in the system. Please try to find TWAIN or WIA driver for your webcam.

Best regards, Alexander
