Image acquire from camera

I've been successfully using VintaSoftTwain for a number of years now for a document scanning product that uses flatbed scanners to acquire document pages. A new requirement has come in to begin using digital cameras to acquire the document pages.

Is their a way to control the camera's shutter via Twain? Only seem to be able to acquire the image from the camera's storage card. It seems that when the camera is connected via USB, it's ability to take pictures is disabled.

Any code samples on acquiring images via camera would be greatly appreciated. Also any advice on the best camera to use would be very helpful.

Hello Paul,

TWAIN standard does not allow to control digital cameras, you can only acquire images stored on the camera's card.
