Can someone explain the significance of the Scan Interval property? I have a few Data Matrix and QR barcodes that are distorted that I am trying to test and it seems that tweaking this property gives me different results.
Setting the default value of 5 sometimes works. Sometimes moving it up or down seems to effect whether or not the software will read the barcode. Obviously the lower the value, the longer it takes and the higher the faster.
I have no clue what the lower and higher values mean and hoping someone can shed some light on the this matter.
Also what is the best practice for scanning some barcodes that do not work? Should we start with the default value of 5 and then work our way up or down? What would you recommend? Should we multithread the application to read various scan intervals at a time?
Thanks

Re: Scan Interval
I have sent your support team an email of about 8mb worth of distorted barcodes that we cannot read. Let me know if you do or do not receive the email because of large attachments and I'll find another way to send the email. The barcodes were snipped from a pdf file but we cannot attach the actual pdf files as they contain personal information. I've ran individual tests against the * and I am receiving mixed results from the reader. When they are snipped from the PDF files, they are read just fine but when contained inside of document they become illegible.
Also since the PDF's were generated from faxes and scanned images, they contain quite a bit of noise. And we trying to reduce some of the stamps that are being applied on our side but as I mentioned before, another reader was able to picked up the barcodes majority of the time.
The email also contains a snippet of source code that we use to generate and read barcodes. Please advise if you see any improvements we can make.

Hello Daniel,
Version 5.3 of VintaSoftBarcode.NET SDK released today. Most of your "bad" DataMatrix barcodes can be read using this version.
