We are proud to announce the release of new major version 16.0 of VintaSoft Barcode .NET SDK.
The first and most important new feature in this version is the ability to use a neural network (artificial intelligence) to detect regions of 1D and 2D barcodes in an image. Usage of a neural network (artificial intelligence) provides a significant increase in the performance of barcode recognition on medium and large-sized images. Also usage of a neural network (artificial intelligence) can significantly speed up the barcode recognition process when image contains multiple barcodes but the exact number of barcodes is unknown.
Please read article "
Detect barcode regions using AI in .NET application" for more information.
The second major new feature in this version is an update to the barcode print quality tests. The one-dimensional barcode print quality test now fully complies with the 3rd edition of ISO/IEC 15416 from January 2025. The two-dimensional barcode print quality test now fully complies with the 3rd edition of ISO/IEC 15415 from December 2024.
The third important feature of this version is the expansion of the list of supported barcode types.
Now VintaSoft Barcode .NET SDK can recognize and generate DMRE barcodes (Data Matrix Rectangular Extension).
Also now SDK can recognize IATA barcodes and decode recognized IATA value (IATA - International Air Transport Association): IATA BCBP Aztec, IATA BCBP DataMatrix, IATA BCBP PDF417, IATA BCBP QR.
